Oh La Lauren

Marseille at night.
Finally, as I vowed I would do, I am going out tonight. Hopefully this will continue tomorrow and Saturday night. Why is going out during my last week so important to me? Well, because these clubs in Paris are frickin amazing, I love spending time with my friends, and damn, it really IS great to be able to go out under the age of 21. This is an integral step in social development that the US is SO missing.
I took a nap this evening and watched the final episode of Glee (after I heard enough raves from other people about it to make me watch it) so I could prendre du force.
Also, today it was gorgeous out—it’s amazing the difference that waking up to sunshine makes. I walked around in my pea coat without gloves or a scarf. And ballet flats. Whereas weather.com told me that it was around 4 degrees in Evanston. Shit?
So I’m not feeling too stressed about my finals, except this damn final paper for literature. How do you write an 8 page analysis of 18 lines of poetry?! I used to think I could do anything, but this eludes me. Also, it kinda sucks not having the BPI open due to continuing strikes.
I haven’t spoken much about this, but I feel like a butterball turkey. I have definitely gotten fat here. But you gotta live it up without regrets, right? Anways, I can’t wait to hop onto the stairmaster when I get home!
Aaaand yes. Let’s start diminishing the alcohol supply in my bedroom. I currently have: a half bottle of crème de cassis, a personal size serving of champagne from Champagne, a small bottle of pêcheresse from Belgium, a bottle of cider from Normandy, and two big bottles of Brut from Vouvray. Oy. high-res photo
