Alright, just a brief entry before I continue working on my urban sociology paper.
Interesting parts of my day:
Taking the metro line 5 from Oberkampf around noon. More grinding in a metro car than in a European discotheque. Tall man was holding his cell phone and I could see everything he was texting.
Napping before dinner and waking up to loud voices from the rest of the apartment. It’s usually difficult to discern between heated debates and fights, especially when the people involved are French and Jewish. But come dinner time, it was just me and Joelle, though then Alan came and ate, didn’t say anything, and left Joelle to do the dishes. Wow, as a guest in the house, that is an awkward situation.
