I am about to go take a shower so that I can go to Christina’s, drink wine with the SBAA, and then go to a club where it will probably be nothing but electro music, and it will be hot and make the shower I’m about to take totally worthless.
So imma finish this thought I have before I go shower and pointlessly blow dry my hair so it looks really pretty, temporarily. Today Biki and I were chillin in the snack lounge of the BPI (bibliotheque publique d’information, in the centre pompiDOu) and we were talking about how we love…us. Our group. And it was odd because we both realized we’ve never been the kind of people to have a “group.” I’ve always felt as though my social tendency was to pick and choose people from different “groups,” because I think that friendship is something so important you shouldn’t waste it on people you don’t truly value just because they’re in the “group.” So I’ve been selective. And if you’re reading this blog, you’ve made the cut. Holla!
Well, anyways, here in Paris, it’s true. For once I actually have a group. And actually, it’s wonderful. We have fun whether we’re studying at the freakin’ library or hanging out at Bastille or riding on a train or playing cards or rockin out to youtube videos after having cooked dinner. And we each have our own quirks, and we know these quirks, and life with them. And ocassionaly tease each other about them. This is my group and I love being in their company. They make Paris awesome.
Happy Halloween! More about my weekend tomorrow ;-)
